And so it begins....

I’m now a couple of weeks into hardcore MCAT studying. I’ve actually been studying for the better part of a year, read through all the EK manuals at least once and worked the problems. Now I’m starting the 1001 test series and doing practice test. Got a 28 on AAMC 7, VR 10, BS 9, PS 9 (the p.s. was 50% O-chem and I somehow pulled a 9 anyway, ugh). Anyway, it’s a decent starting point. I was planning on studying about 8 hours a day, but I think 4-5 average is typically about all I can stomach with doing 1 practice test a week for a grand total of 13 up until the big show.

Good luck to all you who now are gearing up for the MCAT!

Thanks, Guitardan! You too! We’ll make it …

hey dan, good job on that practice MCAT. starting out balanced is a great place to be.

good luck to everyone taking the test within the next few months. i remember being in that position last year and i definitely don’t envy you! studying can get boring/frustrating but it will all be worth it when you receive awesome scores. looking forward to all the success stories!

Good luck to everyone who is pushing for spring mcat! The study plan is definitely in effect here with practice tests all around. I feel at a little bit of a disadvantage with not all of my pre-reqs complete but preliminary scores have been decent and it’s just practice, practice, practice until the big day.

IT. IS. ON!

Ooooh, my, is it ever!

Shawn, I so remember reading everyone’s experiences last spring–it’s just kind of hard to believe that we’ve all moved one step further down the road at this point.

I’ve been wishing to hurry things along, but now that I’m knee deep in this and the MCAT is looming, I find myself wishing for more time! LOL

I don’t think we’ll ever feel fully prepared. We just have to stay focused, trust what we know, and do our best. One way or another, this part WILL be over in a matter of weeks.

Good luck, guys!
