Can anyone tell me the name of the astronaut/flight surgeon who was a non traditional medical school matriculant.
I am interested in his story and would like some information on him, thanx

Hi there,
You might be thinking about Story Musgrave, who is an MD, Ph-D with seven masters degrees. He did a residency in surgery with his Ph.D. in statistics/math. He has three shuttle flights under his belt and was the point man for the repair of the Hubble telescope.
I met him when I was in Houston at the Johnson Space Center. He is a riot.

I don’t know exactly who you are talking about (actually, I should) but here is a link to the astronaut biographies. Maybe you can find him in there.
Story Musgrave sounds like a possible candidate, but he is non-traditional in every aspect of his life (not just medicine!).
