Becoming a CNA question

Is it better to start being a CNA first before going to nursing? Any thoughts?

Senior BSN student turn pre-med here, which btw, I highly do no recommend lol (still got that 3.9 though). Nursing school is extremely manageable, and most programs are heavily front-loaded in terms of “difficult” courses. If you are considering becoming a CNA before nursing to “get ready” for school, don’t - they are completely different fields. If you feel you want more patient interaction practice, and more importantly money, then by all means. If your resume is not very competitive, then maybe consider it (I’m not entirely sure how beneficial this is, however). Again, nursing school is tough, but not nearly as tough as everyone makes it out to be if you play it smart.
