I’ve heard this question asked in the podcast, but I DO NOT have any undergrad degree and am starting at a CC, so would Med Schools still not accept the pre-reqs there? My major is Biological Sciences, and I will transfer to a 4-year institution to get my undrgrad degree from. As a single father, it wasn’t possible for me to go to a 4 year college. How is this route viewed by med school? THANKS!
Just an anecdote, but my friend’s brother did 2 years at a community college before transferring to a major university. He just graduated from UCLA med… Do what you need to do, because if you don’t, you’re not going to get anywhere.
Also, see other posts in the forum regarding CC credits.

I would related my experience but it is unusual. All my credits were from CC but I had a PhD (Biochem) and a MBA. So, I would say that I would proceed with the CC credits + transfer to 4 year. Maintain a GPA as high as you can. If you do well on the MCAT, you will be perceived as competitive.
At some point, you should get in touch with the admission committee of the MD school you target and ask the question. But if you proceed with the plan as mentioned above, you will get somewhere.
That said, not all MD schools are OK with this, so check. But I am sure that many will be OK with it and you will get accepted with a good GPA and high MCAT. Of this I am sure.
Good luck to you. Remember, I was in the same boat (with a different background that made things easier for me). Just keep moving forward.
Thanks everyone! I greatly appreciate the input. The podcast and forum has been extremely helpful
