Congrats! But Don't Give Up.

I only have a minute between classes, but I wanted to congratulate everyone that’s received their first acceptance letter. Isn’t it heart-stoppingly wonderful?
I’ll always have a fond place in my heart for Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine because they were the ones that moved me from “Hoping” to “Wow. I’m In”, and paid off four years of work.
BUT…
I want to remind everyone else that applied this year that “The game is not over!!!” Please don’t get discouraged. Keep doing well in your fall classes, and don’t lose hope. I applied in late September, and didn’t receive my first interview invite until January.
In the end, I was accepted or waitlisted at nine schools. I missed the OPM convention to go on an interview in May.
As we all know, it’s a marathon …
Best wishes to you all, and back to the histo lab.

Great advice Susan! How is the U of MN treating you? I was far from the Histo buff – it all still looks like chewed-up watermelon to me!
