Dr. Ben Carson surgery for prostate Ca

Today at Johns Hopkins, Ben Carson, M.D. is undergoing surgery for prostate cancer. This article in the Washington Post is a wonderful portrait of an extraordinary man:

(if the link doesn’t work, go to www.washingtonpost.com and just do a search for Carson. The article is in the Wednesday Aug. 7 Style section.)

Oh, wow.
My friend is a 3rd-year at Hopkins, and she called me the day that Ben Carson lectured in one of her classes. She described him exactly the same way that the Post article did. I get the feeling he inspires everyone he meets. I hope things go well for him.

Thank you Mary for the post about Dr. Ben Carson's surgery. I read that and said No, No, Noooo!, while shaking my head. His book, Healing Hands, has been a very BIG inspiration for me. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. This is just awful. I just pray to God that he has a successful outcome. Vita

I'm go to Hopkins and had a chance to meet Dr Carson once, and he definitely fits the profile laid out in the newspaper.
He's in great hands though. The Hopkins urology dept and Pat Walsh (chair of urology, Carson's surgeon) are the best in the world.

His surgery evidently went well.
