Hi everyone! My name is Katherine. I’m new to the forum but have been really enjoying the non traditional premed podcasts.
My question is about how to best market the past two years I’ve spent abroad. For a bit of context, I was a French major while still premed in undergrad. I had a few bumps along the way health-wise and I’m currently enrolled in a postbac of upper level science courses. After listening to the podcasts, I feel confident that I can describe this experience as a positive growth period in my life.
I graduated university in 2018 and I’ve spent the last two years as an English teacher in underserved regions of France with little to no clinical experience. I have landed a position helping with clinical research where I will start interacting with patients next week - yay! During my time in undergrad, I also was pretty involved clinically. What are your suggestions for best discussing that gap between undergrad and my postbac?
Thanks everyone for your input and I’m excited to be a part of this community!
