I failed Chemistry the first time around

Hello everyone,

Im excited to be here! I have been working hard towards lining everything up for medical school, but I am still 2 years or more from applying. I just wanted to know what people thought about my current situation. I see the grade question asked a lot, but I don’t know if it applies to my situation. My first year of college I took Chem 1 and Chem 2. I got a C+ in chem 1 and I failed chem 2. I was 18 and I didn’t quite understand how to study or to get work done and on top of that I got sick my second semester. I missed a lot of chem 2 and I ended up failing the class. Now about 6 years later I am taking chem again. I obviously want to do well in the class and leave with all As, but I also don’t want to end up psyching myself out of going to med school if I end up with something like a B+. Do I stand a chance in getting into med school if I get a B+ in either class? I already got a B+ in my first Bio class. But I am on track to getting an A in Bio 2.

Thanks everyone! And good luck to those currently in the application cycle
