I wasn’t going to even look into things but I happened to be surfing the web and discovered our town EMS is completely volunteer. So I sent off an e-mail asking what that meant, and he dropped off an application for me and explained any training I need they’d set up for me. This sounds great. It’s local (which was a problem w/ 3 kids) and will give me some hands on in health care. I guess they interview me at their monthly meeting next month then Feb. meeting vote on me. It will be a few months before I know, but still, an opportunity none the less.
I’m just a tad embarassed that I answered the door in my PJ’s being the kids were up all night sick. Oh well.
