New guy.

Hello all, just found the site by accident and I must say it has been so encouraging reading all your posts. A little bit about me: I am 27 years old, I am a registered respiratory therapist and I have 2 awesome boys that are 4 and 8mo old. I always wanted to be a doctor growing up, but after high school things did not go that way, I worked as a welder and masonry laborer among other things until I went back to school and got my nurses aide license, then my emt license, and finally my associates degree in respiratory care. Along this journey I rekindled my desire to become a doctor and recently started back at OSU. Needless to say it feels overwhelming, and at some times unattainable, but looking at this site has definitely encouraged me. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Thanks

Welcome!

Welcome to OPM!

Awesome to hear! and welcome!

You’ll find a friendly and knowledgeable bunch here. All different ages, but one main goal!

Nice to meet you bro

One of the founders of OPM dropped out of college, work as bouncer amongst other things, and become an RT where he was in Peds ICU for several years before going back to school yet again for DO. He is now a board certified anesthesiologist and critical care specialist and recently was medical director of a respiratory ICU.
