Non Degree vs. Degree Seeking

Hi everyone!
I’m currently a licensed clinical social worker, I graduated in 2012 with my masters in social work. I’ve decided to go back to school to be a physician and an so excited! I had basically zero science credits in my undergrad and masters so I am back in school taking my pre requisites DIY. A problem I keep running into is being capped on credit hours as a non degree seeking student. I was thinking of registering as degree seeking so I’m not limited to under 9 hours but I’m nervous it will look bad when I go to apply to medical school if I didn’t actually complete the degree. Has anyone else gone this route or does anyone have any insight?

When I did my pre-reqs, I registered as a degree-seeking student in order to get scheduling priority. I didn’t finish a degree at that institution. It was never brought up in interviews or anything. I doubt that medical schools will care that you didn’t finish the degree.

I say go ahead and register as degree-seeking.
