Hello all,
I am currently a 30 year old pharmacist who graduated 3 years ago. I have been working at a hospital in the Texas Medical Center for the past 2 and a half years, with a brief job in retail pharmacy before that. Due to my lack of patient interaction and a strong desire to be in a more active position within the healthcare team, I have decided to apply to medical school. I graduated undergrad with a 3.0 gpa and pharmacy school with a 3.6 gpa.
I’m looking for opinions on what MCAT score would give me a shot at getting into a Texas MD or DO school, or if it is unlikely either way. Also, any other advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am interested to find out what are different thoughts on this topic. I am in my mid 20s and just finished my 2nd year in pharmacy. I am also thinking of going into medical school because 1) I am not interested in community pharmacy 2) in hospital setting, there isn’t much patient - interaction , no chance at diagnosing and problem solving …
