Prepared to bomb

My Calculus professor has been more than generous and postponed this last test TWICE for me. I have studied hard, and I do not know if it is the Indocin I am taking for the chest wall inflammation, but the second I walk away from my books and notes, I go entirely BLANK. I cannot remember anything without prompts. I cannot even remember how to start a problem. I know I have a passing grade in this course and if I bomb the test I will still pass. But it really looks like I am Physically unable to get the kind of grade I really hoped for. Damn Pneumonia!!! I am leaving now to go up to the school and take the test. I just did a quick review and it all looks like material from Mars. Oh well.

My thoughts are with you! I know how it feels to just go blank. I think we all do at one point or another. I had a moment in my chemistry final where my brain just shut down and I totally knew how to do the problem. I did a zillion of problems like it, but the mind just went completely blank. It helps to take a deep breath, move on, and then go back to it. It sounds like you are dealing with some other challenges though. I can’t imagine taking any exam while battling pneumonia! Best of luck!
