34 year process engineer getting into medicine. BS in chemical engineering. And I really wish I had known about MSHQ and Dr. Gray’s podcasts sooner. Would have been really helpful and encouraging, as I have already gone through two cycles.
Question:
I have a deferred acceptance to a DO school for 2018, which also gives me priority on the 2017 wait list.
Does anyone know the time frame for wait list movement to be most active? I’ve read May 15 is when schools get a list of students who hold multiple acceptances. And then schools give students a grace period to drop from other schools and commit. So I am guessing early June?
That depends on the school. I know schools who have tried to fill a seat the day classes started because a student chose a different school at the very last minute. best of luck, but hey there is always next year. congrats on that.
