What is going to be great is that in a few short years, the top of the list will be larger than the bottom of the list. Yeahhh and congratulations to all of the new MS-1s.

I kid you not, my eyes well up with tears of joy when I see how rapidly our entering classes are growing. No, OPM cannot take credit for getting these into med school…but I would love to think that my little project, in some small way, was helpful to you guys. All I ever wanted to do is to pass along the lessons & words of wisdom I picked up here & there. Through the massive efforts of many bodies, OPM has grown into much more than anyone ever anticipated.
Truly, I think we are gonna see accelerating growth over the next few years. Typically, when the economy is shakey, med school apps go up & non-trad apps increase disproportionately (heard that in an Alumni Board meeting). I think that OPM is very well positioned to ride this growth curve. We will continue to strive to maintain a clean, mature & professional image while sustaining our family-friendly & informal posture.
We can truly become a force to be reckoned with!!

Thanks for all your support, OPMers. I needed the encouragement to get me here, and now I need it to get me through med school. It’s quite an adjustment, but I think I’m getting there.

You're right about the firehose. It's overwhelming and I'm just squeaking by at the moment. I feel a bit crappy about having been an ace student as a post-bacc, and then going to med school where I feel lucky just to pass. It's quite an adjustment and I hope I learn how to learn soon.
