…have all your secondary application materials (specifically, letters of recommendation) arrived prior to your receiving the interview invite? Or did you still have stuff “pending”?

I had everything in. I think a computer switch gets flipped when your last document (i.e. LOR) arrives, making your file complete.
Rarely will an interview invitation be extended without all supporting materials in your file.
