Hey there,
I heard an interview with this young man and his poise is far beyond his years. He has the potential to spark more interest in soccer for years to come. Soccer is exploding in DC anyway. This is going to be great for the franchise. I will be heading out to RFK for a look.

Please Nat. I rarely disagree with you but this is an exception. No one cares about soccer in America. Lots play it, but few actually can admit to ever attended a Pro game. It does not have the following that the NFL and College sports do. The point of this is he is 14. So what if he attracts a few hundred more people to a game. What is next? Signing an 8 yr old to a sneaker contract because he looks good playing hockey? The sports industry is going a little too far on this imo.
I think Phil is losing it and waltzed by some kid and said "gee what will I do with my extra million I have after paying slave wages to Mexican and Chinese shoe workers?..hmm, there looks like a nice kid. hey kid, come here, you want a million? Sign here"
Its exploitation. Plain and simple. And that is all I have to say about that.
