Hi all!
I am new here and I am attending Med school in the dominican Republic (UNIBE). I was wondering if you had any information regarding chances of landing a decent residency spot, etc. I decided to go to school in the Dominican Republic because I have been living here for the past seven years so it was natural to want to stay and do this here. I am 36 years old and I love what I am doing but I am a bit concerned about what happens after I finish. What are my chances of landing a decent residency spot (I would like to do my residency in internal medicine / geriatrics.)
Any clinicals in US? What you want to do is not considered too competative per what I have read. FMGs have done ok in internal med.
