…if you are out walking on a warm summer night surrounded by fireflies and you think of them as flying luciferase assays.
You finish up summer classes and find yourself in between semesters and a bit out of sorts without school, so decide to pass the time watching videos on MIT and Khan Academy and reading ahead in your fall semester textbooks. Not that you don’t still have work and family obligations, but the time “off” from school doesn’t feel quite right.
You are listening to the crickets while sitting on your porch reviewing frantic students requests to review their late applications and and posting on things for next year’s conference.
