I started in a post-bacc premed program at the age of 51. Graduated residency at 60. I am now a board certified family practice physician working in a rural community health center (which was my dream). Prior to med school I was an nurse for 30 years, a CNM for the last 15 of them, and taught nursing for 6 years.
