Hi there. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m 39 and exploring a career change. I currently work as a pharmacist but I have been out of school now for over 12 years. My dilemma is I had my undergraduate degree and postgraduate Diploma abroad but pharmacy unlike medicine only required I write a series of exams and a one year internship in order to be licensed to practice in the US. I was told it was impossible to get into med school in the US unless I was willing to do a 4 year bachelor’s degree. I started exploring the options available in the Caribbean islands and had even gotten accepted to start jan 2022 but I don’t have peace about it so I’m trying to get more information on ways I can get the pre-reqs I need done post MCAT then hopefully apply with that and my evaluated foreign degree.
If it’s okay with you, I would love to email you privately. I’m going to keep striving for the best and not settle for less. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours. Have a great day…
