ACCOMAS is moving to a new application system that will open May 5th. Applicants may begin to submit their 2016 AACOMAS Application on May 5, 2015 once the AACOMAS application goes live at 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time. They will not need to wait until early June to submit.
The nation’s Osteopathic Medical Schools will begin receiving applications on/about June 15, 2015.

Dear AACOMAS Applicants,
Please review the following information if you are thinking about applying to the 2016 AACOMAS application cycle.
We are pleased to announce that on May 5, 2015, we are launching a new AACOMAS application system for the 2016 application cycle. Visit the Information About the 2016 Application Cycle page of our website for a list of enhancements to the application you can expect to see starting May 5th.
This transition will also result in changes to several of our previous application procedures. To prepare for the launch of AACOM’s new application system, please be aware of the following important updates:
Your 2015 AACOMAS application will not rollover in the 2016 application cycle.
You will not have access to your 2015 (or any prior year) application after 11:59pm EST on April 30, 2015. We strongly encourage you to save/print off a copy of your current AACOMAS application(s) before this date.
The AACOMAS URL is changing from http://aacomas.aacom.org/ to http://aacomas.liaisoncas.com. The old URL will begin redirecting to the new site on May 5th.
You will need to re-submit all transcripts and documents to our new mailing address:

Application instructions will be embedded within the online application and will no longer be available as a separate, downloadable PDF. These instructions will be available upon launch on May 5th.
AACOMAS will now be able to receive and process letters of recommendation directly through the AACOMAS Evaluator Portal. As in prior cycles, letters may still be received from VirtualEvals, Interfolio, and USPS mail. Letters submitted through AACOMAS will be bundled with your application. Letters submitted through VirtualEvals, Interfolio, USPS, or other sources as directed in application instructions must be sent directly to the schools you’ve applied to and will NOT be bundled with the application.
Military and foreign coursework will no longer be verified by AACOMAS nor included in the verified GPA calculation. AACOMAS, however, will still collect these transcripts and evaluations and make them available to the schools you’ve applied to for review. WES, along with other foreign transcript evaluators, will process foreign transcripts and forward them to AACOMAS.
