Adding in grade from a repeated course

AMCAS asks applicants to input all grades, including the original grade for any repeated coursework. I want to follow the directions but my transcript has only an “R” for the original grade (only the repeat has a typical letter grade).

It has been several years since college and I no longer remember what grade was originally earned!

Please let me know if there is a way for me find my original grade. Thank you all

You can contact the registrar’s office at the college where you earned these grades and they should be able to look it up for you. All applicants are required to report the original grade even if it’s been removed from a transcript and replaced with an R, as you state. Even if it appears that a course was only taken once (some schools remove evidence of the first attempt) applicants are honor-bound to report the first attempt.

I hope this info helps.

Cheers,

Liza
