Advise on my MCAT score

I just got my MCAT score: 31M


PS 13, 7 VR, 11 BS


I am not sure what to do with 7 in VR.


I was averaging 8-9 on VR section of AAMC and non-AAMC practice exams.


I’m looking for advise on whether to retake MCAT later this year or next year, and delay applying until next year.

unless you change your study habits, more often than not, your score will decrease. There is no guarantee that you will perform as you did here. Is the 7 in Verbal low, maybe a little, but you still have a respectable score.

I have always heard that below a seven is trouble, but I have never heard anything bad about a seven. Would it look better if it was more balanced, possibly but that 13 in PS is pretty darn impressive, I would hate to lose it.

I heard that VR score below 8 would cause a major problem with getting into a US MD school. I only see a few US MD schools with accepted applicants with VR score of 7 in the MSAR. I think I’m going to apply and see what happens.
