I just passed my boards for ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) in Family Medicine. Has anyone heard of any programs in the US such as ARNP to MD? A colleague of mine told me about this today but I have never heard about such a program.
There are no NP-MD programs in the U.S. I am an NP just started medical school at Oceania University of Medicine 3 months ago. The school is based in Samoa. Oceania will waive the MCAT and pre reqs required for Med school here in U.S. for NPS with experience but you still have to complete the full four years of med school. The program is rigorous and demanding much more so than nursing programs, that is why there are no short cuts for NPs in med school
