While I have a little bit of down time over winter break, I’d like to start reading up on what residency programs look for in applicants and similar type info. Our school requires a medical student research project, and, because I’m interested in surgery, I’d like to know if there is a specific type of research project I should pursue (this is just one of the many questions I have). There are so many books out there on the subject, so if anyone has personal experience with a particular book they found helpful, I’d appreciate a recommendation. Thanks!
I liked Kenneth Iserson’s “Getting Into a Residency”
This is more for a fun read but I really enjoyed Match Day by Brian Eule.
