I was diagnosed with cat scratch fever friday. I have been on a Z pak since that day and I feel absolutely NO better. I am still running a low grade fever (around 100) and I feel miserable. I am very fatigued - not resting well at all. My throat is very sore on both sides and covered with white patches. The lymph nodes in my neck and under my right arm are quite large. I don't know if I should wait this out a little longer or go back to the doctor. He said it could take 3 - 6 weeks for this to go away - is that true? I know very little about this. I am concerned if I continue to stay this fatigued and drained of energy I am not going to do well in the classes I am taking. I have no energy to study. I have tried to keep my focus, but it is very hard. By the time I get home from work I am just completely drained and exhausted. Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Never mind. Called a friend who is a doc and got some advice. Feel much better now.
