I am a freshman in college part time and in the navy full time. With my workload I feel it is risky to go to school full time with the uncertainty that my current schedule brings. I have been taking two a semester and it has worked out, however I have recently found out that my school offered 8 week class as opposed to 16 weeks. So i was going to do two for the first 8 weeks and 2 for the second, making 4 for the semester, which would really help me knock even more classes out in the amount of time i hvae left in the navy ( 10 months). I know I can handle to work and am confident I will do well, however i was wondering if med schools frown upon these shortened classes. Please help!
Schools don’t see class length as long as the class is categorized as the same as the longer class at your school. For example summer classes usually shorter and therefore accelerated, but are classified as the same class offered during the regular year so the same code shows up on the transcript.
