Which is better?


A committee letter of “recommend with reservations”


or


No committee letter, straight apply with stellar LORs?

I applied to both MD and DO schools and received all my interview invites from DO schools. Not sure if this is applicable to you but I only have individual letters and I don’t think it really matters, as long as the rest of your application is strong.

Some med schools have secondaries that will ask if your school supplies a committee letter and if you used it. If your school has a committee letter and you don’t use it, they will ask you why. So if you don’t use it, avoid those schools or be prepared to answer.
