Coolidge speaks

from my Runner’s World e-newsletter today:
WORDS THAT INSPIRE
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will
not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius
will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will
not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and
determination alone are omnipotent."
-Calvin Coolidge

Excellent! Thanks!

One of my favorite quotes!
Another is 'Never, never, never, never give up' by Winston Churchill

Lisa S.
I have now figured out you are a runner. We have the very same quote on a piece of paper in our bedroom. It has hung there for the last 2/1/2 years as my husband started the long road to the boston marathon. as well; the quote by teddy roosevelt (which is on this homepage) is also hanging up.
they both seem to say it all.
thanks.

ha ha ha - a runner – a penquin with potential, maybe.

like he says 'you had the courage to start'.
