I already have stats (math stats), got a C.
The school I am looking at (UT Houston) does not require calculus however, should I take it anyway?

I sure do! Got a B in it. Also have plane trig. Got a B in that as well.
I don’t think most schools require calculas and if you don’t take calc. based physics you might not have to take calc. I would check with the schools you are applying to.
Calculus is not required because Texas medical schools now require statistics.

Great news!! Now I can concentrate on biology, chem and physics…
I only took Calc because I needed a Math refresher and it was the lowest level math course at the college I am going to.
