Do med schools put much thought in masters programs?

Hey everyone! Had a question regarding how much thought med schools put in masters programs, especially if they are not SMPs. I am about to finish up a master’s degree in kinesiology in December. I originally went into this program to make me look like a better applicant for PT school but with a few months left of my program, I realized I wanted to be a doctor. With that said, I figured I would just stick it out and get the MS. My graduate GPA (3.7) is much better than my undergrad GPA (3.3). With that said, will this upward trend in GPA make me look better at all on a med school application? I should also mention that I will be starting a post bacc at the University of Vermont next fall to fill in various gaps/complete missing prereqs. Fingers crossed I do well in that!
