Fluency in Second Language

Stanford recommends that an applicant is fluent in spanish or an asian language. If I’m already fluent in spanish do I need to minor in Spanish to prove this to them? is there any other way I can display this to them so that I dont have to waste a minor on something I’m already proficient in?

There are language proficiency exams that nearly all of these schools will give out. Passing proves that you are fluent. Requiring a minor is a thing of the past, thankfully.
