GPA/MCAT cutoff

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if medical schools have GPA and MCAT cutoffs and if so what are the cutoffs normally?

Hi,

I think that is something you would have to individually look into for each school. I found the MSAR very helpful because it gives you a full overview of median/average GPA and MCAT scores for every school. When I looked at UCSF’s website it said they generally don’t accept gpa’s below 3.2 so I am sure this “cutoff” gpa is different for every school and it is pretty easy to ask admissions directly what they view as an uncompetitive gpa. Based on the quick research I did within the MSAR, it looked like the lowest MCAT score accepted was 512(ish) but again everything depends on what school you want to get in.
