Great med school prep book

A friend recently sent me a book called “Success in Medical School: Insider Advice for the Preclinical Years” by Samir P. Desai, MD and Rajani Katta, MD. It’s incredible, and I recommend it for anyone gearing up for medical school.

When I first got the book, I thought it would read something like this: “Study hard. Don’t party. Do well on the USMLE.”

Of course, there is an element of that – because those things are true. But there are all kinds of details (incredibly referenced to journal articles and other resources) that I plan to incorporate during my preclinical years. Sections on active studying, time management, and USMLE prep dive into much more depth than I’ve heard before.

Highly recommended.
