Horrible Interview Question

I had a difficult Osteopathic Interview question. I was directly asked, “How many DO schools did you apply to and how many MD schools did you apply to?” I did not want to lie but I think my answer killed any opportunity for me because I was so uncomfortable. Any advise would be so appreciated.
Thanks everyone

Sometimes, interviewer asked some tough question to check our knowledge and boldness. My small suggestion is better to providing a bold answer, don’t feel shy about your answer. Be frank and cool on your answer.

Why would this be a hard question? How many DO schools did you apply to? How many MD schools did you apply to? Just be honest. And you shouldn’t be embarrassed if your number of schools is low. For example my sister-in-law applied to only 2 (two) DO schools. And she was accepted at both. She is now a practicing, very successful dermatologist.
