You know the scenario…the interviewer starts off by asking a question…but it’s directly stated in your application! For example, “tell me about your work experiences.” Is it okay to repeat what’s already said in the application? Or do they want you to think of something new?
There are double-blind, and single-blind interviews - sometimes they see your application and resume, sometimes they see just your resume, sometimes they see nothing but the person sitting in front of them. This can help reduce bias like, “oh, this person has a 2.9gpa I know they’re going to be a bad interviewee.” If they are asking a question, assume that it is purely out of curiosity, and that they honestly want to know the answer.
