So…in the blink of an eye… I am officially done with my pre-med work. I took my Orgo II final tonight.


Wow. That was FAST!!! Time flies when you don’t look up.


Science GPA: 3.9


Cumulative GPA: 3.88


AMCAS, here I come…

Thanks, guys. Some of my coworkers just walked by my office, and laughed and said, “wow…it’s so…open in here.” (Commenting on my lack of backpack and books all over the place!)


When you work full time and try to do it all, you find every spare moment to fill in the gaps with school. So they were pretty used to my coffee breaks, lunch hour, etc. being full of ‘academia.’ It’s a nice feeling to breathe for a bit.


I’m taking the rest of this week off… going to get my husband ready to ship out for flight training in Virginia (he’ll be there for a month… then home for a week…then gone to Afghanistan for 3 months). Then, Monday, I will start my “summer school.” I have 2 months to prepare for a 2nd MCAT, which is about the length of a summer semester. So I’m becoming my own professor. The house will be so quiet without him there, so I think I need to study just to take my mind off missing him!


Congrats to everyone else finishing up–I’m so proud of us all!!

Congrats! The irony is palpable however. It is finished only to begin drinking from the fire hydrant but I get what you mean.

Great news, Carrie! SOOOO proud of you. Pat yourself on the back. I bet the MCAT went better than you thought, but best of luck on #2. I just know you’ll be a “shoe” in for any and every med school you apply to.
