I know I haven’t posted for a while. The school kept me busy! I finally graduated last week. And although I was working full time while going to school, the last semester turned out to be one of the better ones for me, and I raised my GPA to 3.9, that allowed me to graduate summa cum laude + with honors in biology. I also received the faculty award from the Department of Molecular and Microbiology, that is given to a graduating senior who has excelled in her academic program and contributed significantly to the Department and the University, and has demonstrated a serious interest in a vocation in biology.
So I wrote letters to all the schools that I’m currently waitlisted at, and hopefully someone will accept me. Meanwhile, realizing that the time is passing waaaaaaaaaay too fast, I’ve done what I dreaded most - I’ve registered for the August MCAT. I haven’t started reviewing yet, but I’m getting there! I didn’t think I’d have to do it again, but it looks like I might have to retake the test and reapply.
Anyway, for now I’m just happy to be done with school, and I kinda convinced myself that whatever happens I’ll make best of it.

Congratulations! Very good job!
Congrats, Kasia. You never know what will happen in waitlist land, so hopefully you will not have to retake the MCAT.
congrats!!!
Congratulations Kasia!! And while I would be doing exactly what you are, studying for a retake of the MCAT, don’t give up on those waitlists!! A great number of schools take people off their waitlist as late as the first day of class or so. So never give up!!
Excellent work, Kasia - well done! It’s great to see you progressing forward, waitlists or no.
What fantastic news! Summa cum laude is really impressive. We are very proud of you.
