Hello I am new to OPM but I need some help. I have been a Firefighter/Paramedic for the last 13 years and currently finishing my assoiciates degree. I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and I am looking for a good pre-med program for someone that works full time with young children.
Welcome to OPM! I also live in the Chicago area, and just started a post-bac program this fall. Chicago has several “formal” post-bac options, and you can also take courses on your own. I’ll PM you with more info on some of the research I did before choosing the program I’m currently attending.
Oops … I just realized that you’re finishing your associate’s degree, not a bachelor’s. So you’re not looking for a post-bac program, but rather a full degree-seeking program. I’m afraid I can’t be of much help there, specifically. I would, however, encourage you to contact the universities in the area (UIC, Roosevelt, DePaul, etc.) and find out whether they have classes that would potentially fit your schedule.
