Med School or CRNA?

I’m 29, been working for the past 8 years in Sports/Health management. I hate it. I’ve been toying with the idea of going to med school for almost a decade now. I’ve taken all the pre-req’s. Here’s the dilemma…am I prepared to spend the next 6-7 years getting to this point? My father’s an Anesthesiologist…he suggested doing a second degree BSN, working in critical care for a year, then going into a 27 month CRNA program. My total training/schooling should be about 5 years for the CRNA. Any opinions?

What would make you happier? I’d say that if you think there’s something - anything - that would work for you as well as medicine would, it would behoove you to look into that option.

And BTW, welcome to OPM .
