Shadowed a residency over christmas break for 2 days. Got there at 6am. Haven’t had to get up super early last few years. Just sort of sunk in how early i’d be getting up. Thinking I’d get used to it; but there are night calls as well so it’s not like consistent.
I’d like to know how anyone who’s not a morning person, especially with sleep problem history adapted to medicine?
It seems trivial but it kind of threw me for a loop. Got a fitbit to start tracking my sleeping to see how much I really need per night.
