Mountains

I am being very tempted to run away and climb a mountain when I look at this: http://www.alpindustria.ru/en/ and http://7summits.com/images/details.php?image_id=102 (this is the view from the summit of Aconcagua).

Cool photos. Mountain top views are so incredible. To bad you have to know how to climb a mountain just to get to the peaks.

I’m soooo narrow-minded! All I can think of was the documentary in which researchers did cognitive tests on climbers before, during, and after the climb. Their scores dropped during the climb, which is to be expected. But weeks later, their cognitive skills and short-term memory had not completely recovered.
All I can think is, "It’s all I can do to hang onto chemistry NOW! I’m not leaving any brain cells on Everest!"
Narrow. The truth is I just don’t want to go.

Not always lol. Just for the really steep peaks would u need to know how to actually climb. Colorado has several 12-14’ers (12-14,000 ft) that have trails all the way to the peaks and aren’t outrageously difficult to climb. Just need a good pair of hiking boots

Ed Visteurs has spent the most time at altitude – I think – and tests have shown his brain has shrunk. That was from the top of Acongagua, my next adventure.
