Hey,
I’m likely one of the oldest of the old.
I’m 46 years old and the mother of eight children ranging in age from 27 to 7 years old.
I started back to school when my youngest started Kindergarten.
I’m doing pretty well (3.7 GPA and all A’s and A-'s in my science)
I’m not quite sure whether I want to be a DO or PA, but I definately want to be in medicine.

Hi Debra,
I started medical school at the age of 46 (after being a college professor) and graduated at age 49. For my 50th birthday, I got a General Surgery residency. I am having an awesome time operating, teaching and learning new things (research).
I am planning to do a Vascular Surgery fellowship once I am done with my General Surgery residency. It can be done and it's a blast everyday.
Welcome to the forums!
