need advice for March MCAT

Hi,

I’m 26 yrs old, and planning to take MCAT in March, but I found that my score still fall in 20s(22-24).

I’m not sure I would be able to study MCAT optimally if I have to take it in summer since I have to take a hard class in Spring quarter.

Should I just try to take the test in this March then?

do not take the MCAT until you feel that you are ready. Applying to medical school is not a race. Do it when everything is ready.

I totally agree with Gabe. Definitely don’t take the MCAT until you are sure you can get the score you shoot for. Your actual score might be a little bit off comparing to the scores you get on your practice tests. But usually it’s a small difference - 2 points or so.

I wouldn’t rush it. Give yourself more time. If you don’t think you’ll have time to study in the Spring, then you can still try apply in June and study hard for August MCAT. It’s better to apply later with a good MCAT score than rush and have to make up a poor score.
