It was not fun. Neither is recouperation.

Wow! Sounds like you're sucking dude! I hope like hell that things are starting to improve...just now saw your message. I am on call in the ICU tonight...so I will have to be brief.
Usually folks improve after on of the procedures rather quickly. If you are not better within a few days, I would call the Doc who did it to see if there is anything he/she can look at. You may need to be reimaged to assure that they got all of the disc fragments & that none were displaced such that they are impinging. Of course, what I am saying is all conjecture as I am just a dumb old anesthesiologist.
