Physics resources?

Yes, I am another of the lucky students taking physics this semester. It was all going great and then we hit kinematics in 1 dimension and I seriously need to practice with the equations. Are there some online resources to use? I wasn’t finding much related to this on Khan Academy. I seemed to understand the topic in lecture and did the homework fine, but a recent quiz threw me for a loop and required a higher thought process that I wasn’t quite anticipating.

I think that freelance teacher is pretty great. Just google him and watch his videos (also awesome for o chem). The challenge is that he moves slowly–but is so awesomely thorough that you will def. get it and he does lots of practice. I find Khan academy to skim a bit too much when I need the detail. Also–I bought a book “how to solve physics problems” by Oman and Oman, which if frankly pretty excellent.

Thank you so much! I got through O Chem with the assistance of “Organic Chemistry as a Second Language” so I will definitely check out that book!

Yes–there is also another book in the second language series on physics based in either algebra or calculus. I just ordered that, and it gets very high reviews on amazon. I don’t think it’s quite as fantastic as Klein’s ochem book, but nonetheless, still looks good.

I am really struggling in this subject, and found that daily review/problem work, along with tutoring, and numerous supplemental texts is really helping. When I feel totally confused I sit through 3 hours of freelance teacher and that normally helps me turn the corner.

I too, recommend freelance teacher. Honestly that guy explains it so well that I swear I could understand quantum physics if it came from him.

He’s that good and he lectures at a decent pace…of course that is a relative statement but oh well.

I’m currently trudging my way through yet another night of two-dimentional kinematics…good times

im in phys 1 as well, and took my first exam yesterday

here is a resource from a homeschooling website that someone was ever so kind as to place their exams on google docs for everyone to practice
