picking schools before MCAT

Hello-


I am looking for a quick answer to something I should probably already know!! I am scheduled to take the MCAT on May 22.


What do I need to do within the AMCAS application process before taking the test? Is it necessary to pick at least one school to send the scores to? Or can I let my scores sit within AMCAS until I have picked my final list of schools?


I have been studying so much, haven’t had time to think this far ahead

You don’t have to do anything before. AAMC keeps your testing history separate from your school applications. All of your scores will be sent via AMCAS whenever you do decide you submit your app.
