For anyone gearing up to take Gen Chem after a long break, I just wanted to recommend the combo of the book Homework Helpers Chemistry by Greg Curran, and the Mathtutor DVDs of Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 2.
I had zero chemistry experience before this semester, (and had been out of school for years), but worked through (most of) the book and DVDs this summer, and they’ve been an absolute life-saver.
Seeing how fast things are moving, I honestly think I’d be totally lost if I hadn’t of prepped prior to starting Gen Chem in the Fall.
