Research Credit and BCPM GPA

I am curious about research credits.


I am doing 4 credits worth of research this summer (and possibly fall and spring) and the course will appear as: “Chem 498 Senior Research” on my transcript.


Does anyone know whether or not research credits factor into BCPM GPA?

Yes, there is a letter grade associated with it.


I should probably check with AMCAS on this one…it seems to be a puzzler.

IIRC, I had a similar course on my transcript, getting credit (and being graded!) for research. I believe it factored into my official AMCAS BCPM GPA, but I really couldn’t say for certain.

Cool! Thanks for the input. I know I probably won't really know until I apply next year. It would be great if the credits did factor in.
